Being aware of Habitat for Humanity and the wonderful things that it did, I decided to get involved. I volunteered at the General Store for a while and then was asked by a friend who was the outgoing Secretary if I would be interested in her spot on the board. I was thrilled and honored to be recommended. The board approved the nomination and 6 years have already passed. Time has flown by. I feel even more strongly today about Habitat than I did back then. The work done by this ministry is truly special and I am proud to be a small part of it.
